This small artist book was published as a special edition with text by modernist poet Ezra Pound to memorialize the French artist and sculptor Henri Gaudier-Brzeska (1891-1915). Pound's texts include a critical consideration of the artist's work, focusing on the selection of pieces reproduced here in black & white; secondly is an interpretive text drawing on Pound's preoccupation with the idea of 'Vorticism,' and how it relates to Gaudier-Brzeska's work. Edition no. 464 of 500 printed on the occasion of the the XI Triennale di Milano (9 July 1957). Illustrated w. 28 plates in b&w.
