Philip Larkin: Collected Poems
This product is currently sold out.
This collection of Larkin's poetry was published shortly after his death, in 1985. It is, in essence, a tribute to Phillip Larkin's body of work, published and unpublished. Included here are: The North Ship, XX Poems (pamphlet), The Less Deceived, The Whitsun Weddings, and his famous, final work, High Windows. Also are poems from his teenage years, and those that went unpublished close to his death. Yes, it is a traditional anthology; but reading Larkin all at once is an experience of the writer's life as text––his attachments, struggles, formal experiments and most perfect intonations––appearing like "the sun comprehending glass," intimate and impossible to fully grasp, but still a flash of something else than what you thought you saw before.
