Boston. New York Graphic Society. 1976. First U.S. edition. Hardcover, clothbound w. illustrated dust jacket. Book condition: Fine. Jacket condition: Fine, slight darkening. 270pp. (ill. in colour & b/w).

The remarkable brothers Duchamp -Jacques Villon, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, and Marcel Duchamp -were the most dissimilar trio of brothers in the art world, and yet the most united. Dissimilar because the painter, the sculpture, and Dadaist followed totally different paths, which led each to his own particular style; united because, despite their differences, they worked closely together, understanding and supporting each other's efforts throughout their careers. Each made a unique contribution to twentieth-century art. Pierre Cabanne follows the development of each brother's career, illustrating each artist's work brilliantly.
