Water Squatters: The Houseboat Lifestyle by Beverly Dubin

Beverly Dubin's Water Squatters is surely one of very few (if not the only one) creative publications documenting the Houseboat Lifestyle, in both practical and conceptual terms. "Remembering it all began with Noah," Dubin's pages and pages of captioned photographs from Sausalito, Seattle, the Sacramento Delta, and "Foreign Lands" are a combination of serious instruction and good-hearted irony, and looking through the collage of an anthology, one feels the joy and fun that went into making this documentary into the eponymous book that it is.
