To call this thorough would be an insult to the editorial process that composed these pre-internet, collective cultural encyclopedias of available books. Both based on the theme "access to tools," the catalog is all "ad" contributions from subscribers interpreting (pretty loosely) that theme interpretations: all the books on mechanics, animal identification, "folkwear," and more unexpected genres, and how to get them. Our world used to be a library of paper records, and 'The World' catalog was once a search engine. Now it is basically a historical text-object, an artifact the generation z book-lover might have to see to believe.
