Written in 1973, Bio-Music is something of a manifesto for the development of a new methodology focused on humanizing the new electronic arts. With diagrams and diagnostic specificity, Eaton describes the relatively new studies of the absolutely human way we metabolize sound arts in real-time. The significance for the artist lies in the way feedback loops and rhythmic progressions can be powerful orchestrators, guiding the listener's mind. Taking advantage of this is paramount to Eaten, as he states in own words: "We hope that this book will be read by those within the arts who hold as their thesis that only through the development of arts as powerful as the technology around us will we ever be able to regain the peace and understanding that was ours in a more pristine world."
