Samuel Beckett's first novel about a young man caught in love and lust between two woman. Written, "in a matter of weeks" in the summer of 1932 in exile at the Hotel Trianon Paris at the age of twenty-six. An autobiographical novel offering a rare and revealing portrait of the author as a young man. Too scandalous for publishers, the novel didn't reach print until three years after his passing, posthumously.
