Author Series T-Shirt by Christina Zimpel for BOOK/SHOP: Arthur Rimbaud
This variant is currently sold out
Introducing our new series of author portrait tees made in collaboration with New York-based artist (and Book/Shop favorite) Christina Zimpel. Based on paintings Zimpel made for her exhibition "Book People", held at Book/Shop Oakland in 2017, the portraits feature famous photographs of iconic writers, painted over in Zimpel's signature style. Full of color and bold lines, her work blends punk energy with a well-honed, painterly sensibility.
This T-Shirt features Zimpel's rendition of Arthur Rimbaud, the undisputed bad-boy pioneer of 19th century French poetry, who changed the trajectory of European verse with work from his younger years (he never wrote another line after the age of 21, choosing instead to roam the earth selling guns to kings or taking tickets at a circus).
Printed in Oakland, made in Haiti. 100% Cotton.
Available in sizes S-XL. (Our model shown in a size Medium)
