“Signes du Temps” was a series dedicated to literature, art, and poetry eponymous of a certain moment and inspirational to a certain generation in time. This issue is an introduction to the poetry of Robert Desnos, a French Surrealist poet. This volume is an ensemble of poems, essays, and other meditations in homage to his work’s myriad influence over those writing “after Desnos,” including pieces like “Two cantatas: Cantata for the Inauguration of the Museum of Man - The Four Elements presented by Alfred Smoular,” a letter to Gaston Criel, and more.
