This text, published in 1966, is itself a brief encounter with a passionate affair between two women following the disappointment of heterosexual relations. Initially banned for its insidious narrative, Ledug’s story is as much a shock to culture as it is to the language itself. Ledug writes with the same kind of fits and starts that epitomized the interruptions to societal norms that, at the time, were refused by some, and defiantly provoked by others.
